about me...

Melissa is an artist and photographer based in New England. She received a bachelor's of Fine Arts in 2018. She spent her time in school and multiple years after trying different photography formats and fine art mediums until something stuck. She found that combining her two favorite mediums, photography and painting, was her true passion. Having always loved fashion and personal expression, she turned her talents to custom clothing. She started Mellifera Modern, a brand comprised of handmade fine art and sustainable one of a kind fashion. For her sustainably is as important as the art itself so she makes all of her clothing pieces on secondhand and vintage items. Although she explores many facets of self expression in her work, her main focus is on nature.
